Production

Our ‘Flower Power’

We know exactly which are the best; we have been looking after tulips for years and we will willingly share our knowledge with you.

Do you want to know?

  • Where do we get the bulbs from and what types do we offer?
  • Why do they last so long in a vase?
  • Why do we produce on such a large scale?
  • What does the production process looks like?
  • What are we up to?

Production on a large scale

Our technological background…

…is based in Ociąż, near Kalisz. This is where advanced, automated and the biggest production in Poland operates. High technology enables us to produce 20 thousand tulips per hour.

Our facility construction is based on the Bom Group company solutions. The greenhouse is fully automated; which means there is no need for human engagement all the time. Tables with tulips enter the sorting plant; we can house 2million tulips in one place at the same time.

The greenhouses is divided into 2 parts; each 2500 m². They consist of 7 naves – 8m width, 6 m height. Cooling chambers cover 1300 m²and logistics area covers 3400 m². Trench heating licensed from Van Zaal company as well as mobile, aluminium tables have been installed in the greenhouse. Tables entering the hall move on roll conveyors. Dutch technology is used in the workshop to prepare flowers for sale (bunches in foil sleeves). The whole system is automated just like irrigating the substrate in cases with plants exposed to grow.

Production seasons

The main production season is from January till end of May (12 million tulips). This is when we prepare deliveries for supermarkets like Lidl, Polo, Dino. Autumn production between September and December delivers around 1,5 million tulips, this is so called ‘niche production’ – bulbs come from New Zealand.

We want to deliver fresh flowers to each Polish household every day and thanks to our huge production capacity we can do it via supermarkets and chain stores.

New technology drives development

New technology drives development

We have very ambitious development plans. We want to
modernise and increase production. We will be implementing new technologies and looking for new tulip species. In the
nearest future we are planning to double the production to 26million tulips yearly
